Important Information
Arrival/ Departure Information:
The Time 4 Learning AM session is from 8:50 am- 11:20 am. The PM session is from 12:40 pm - 3:10 pm. Children must be accompanied to and from school by a parent, guardian, or other authorized person. If somebody other than a parent or regular authorized person is picking up your child, you need to notify your child’s teacher in writing. This is very important to ensure the safety of our children!
Daily Snack: Please send a daily snack for your child to eat in class. This can be something like an apple, a granola bar, a string cheese, crackers, etc. This is an individual snack, and is for your child only.
Birthday Treats: Birthday celebrations look a little different this year in our classroom. Rather than families sending in birthday treats or goody bags, I am asking that the children bring in a favorite storybook on their birthday. I will read the favorite book to the class, and it will be sent back home the same day. Also, your child will be able to choose a brand new book from the Birthday Bag, and he or she can take this book home to keep. We will sing Happy Birthday, give a sticker, certificate, bubbles, and party blower, and have fun celebrating your child’s special day! If your child’s birthday lands during the summer months, we will celebrate a “Summer Birthday” for him/her.
School to Home: Parent volunteers are welcomed and appreciated. We will set up a volunteer schedule after about the first month of school. Many parents ask us what they can do to help their children succeed in school. You don’t need to buy a lot of special toys or equipment to turn your child into a successful student. The best thing you can do is to take time to play with your child, read wonderful books together, and talk as you go about your normal, everyday household chores. You are your child’s first and most important teacher. The way you talk with your child makes a big difference in how your child thinks and feels and the kind of person your child will become. If we can work together and do some of the same things at school and at home, your child will benefit in many ways.
Communicating With Your Child’s Teacher:
Communication between school and home is crucial to the education of your child. If you have questions or concerns, you are welcome to reach us by leaving a voicemail at school, sending an email, or by sending a note. Please note that voicemail or email may not be received right away, especially during times that we are with the children. If you have a matter that needs immediate response, please contact the school office.
